Oporto City Council selected the platform RAVI developed by Amplitude Net, to implement its Corporate TV channel, TV Porto, already online in http://tv.cm-porto.pt/.
The new channel aims to "inform the citizens and all those interested in the activities of the Council and the City, in an up-to-date, real-time and more appealing way". It currently has experimental programming.
Besides being Portugal's second largest city, Porto is also a regional services centre and a centre of excellence in education and research - the University of Porto is the largest in the country.
It is also a city known worldwide for its wine, its historic centre, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO or more recently, for the Casa da Música.
